House of Chalk
Conquer your own place
DUS built the House of Chalk’ as start of the research project ‘group portraits ’04’, themed ‘Fear and Space’. Inside the house of chalk, the children of the Paulusschool were being questioned about their fears. First, the chalk house appeared dark and empty inside the classroom. Soon though, it transformed into a 3-dimensional drawing. By drawing onto the house, the children made it their own. The house became a beloved refuge within the school.
