DUS architects is a fellowship founded by its three partners.
The office is a member of the Royal Institute of Dutch Architects (BNA).

Hans Vermeulen (1977, The Netherlands) graduated from Delft Technical University in 2003. In 2001 he went to India for a study period at CEPT University in Ahmedabad. It was here where his fascination for the informal (nano)city versus formal (mega)city making started. He teaches at TU Delft since 2008, joined the responsive city network in 2009 and is now part of the board of the Open Coop in Amsterdam.

Martine de Wit (1977, The Netherlands) graduated from Delft Technical University in 2003. In 2001 she studied at University College Dublin followed by a study period in Zurich at the Eidgenössische Technische Hochschule in 2002 under the professorship of Greg Lynn. It was here where her fascination for digital fabrication started. She currently teaches at the Academy of Architecture in Amsterdam. Born and raised on the island Texel, her liking is in ecology and social processes.

Hedwig Heinsman (1980, The Netherlands) graduated Cum Laude from Delft Technical University in 2006. She also studied at Helsinki University of Technology in 2002 and lived in Helsinki where she ran the satellite office of DUS in 2006 - 2007 after co-founding the office in 2004. She recently was a guest teacher at the Rietveld Art Academy and a Master at the Twentse Pauzelandschappen Masterclass 2011. Raised in the Dutch Flevopolder, her interest lies in both utopic grand master planning and contemporary fashion and design.
